About the EESN
The Electrification and Energy Systems Network helps to resolves technical, economic, social and environmental challenges to innovate & commercialise the technologies needed to deliver huge change within energy systems.
The Network’s aim is to address issues and barriers to innovation, the need to develop a trained workforce, infrastructure planning to support innovation-to-impact, and inclusivity.
The vision for the next generation of innovation is vital for the sustained development of this emerging industry in NSW.

EESN People
Prof. John Fletcher (UNSW)
Network Lead
Professor John Fletcher is an electrical engineer who specialises in power electronics, electrical machine drives and electric propulsion.
John leads industry-focused research through the Electrification and Energy Systems Network of NSW Government’s Decarbonisation Innovation Hub that he co-leads, UNSW’s Digital Grid Futures Institute which he directs, the TRaCE Trailblazer where he is Electrification Co-theme Lead, and through the power conversion ecosystem, The Electrifying Lab.
John has consulted for many global industrial companies in the UK, USA, China, Europe and Japan.
