PFHN supports next generation of hydrogen innovators at H2 Grand Prix

The Powerfuels including Hydrogen Network (PFHN) is excited to announce our proud support for the H2 Grand Prix (H2GP), a global STEM initiative for high school students in years 7-10 which is gaining momentum in New South Wales. This innovative competition challenges students to design, build, and race hydrogen-powered remote-control cars, providing a fun and hands-on way to engage with the future of clean energy technology.
Organised by the NSW Department of Education, the H2GP offers a unique opportunity for young minds to explore real-world applications of renewable hydrogen and sustainable energy solutions. By bringing together teams from schools all over NSW, the event not only fosters friendly competition but also encourages collaboration and innovation centred on hydrogen technologies.
After completing a STEM course and making modifications to the cars, the excitement culminated on Thursday, 24 July at the NSW H2GP and the STEM Careers & Clean Energy Expo at the University of Wollongong. This vibrant event created an inspiring platform for students to showcase their creativity and engineering skills, while connecting them with potential career pathways in STEM and renewable energy sectors.
PFHN is especially delighted to sponsor Chevalier College, one of the talented teams competing in the 2025 H2GP season. Their dedication, teamwork, and passion for hydrogen innovation reflect the very spirit of clean energy leadership we strive to cultivate. Supporting Chevalier College and the wider H2GP community aligns directly with PFHN’s commitment to capability building and workforce development – key pillars of the NSW Hydrogen Strategy aimed at preparing the next generation for a sustainable hydrogen economy.
